Our wholesale dial-up products are designed for ISPs that wish
to integrate outsourced dial-up Internet access into their product line.
It's also a cost effective way to replace existing physical POPs, obtain a
presence in all 50 states, and eliminate the financial risks of building new
POPs. By outsourcing your dial-up business your well-earning POPs don't
have to subsidize the costs of your poor-earning POPs.

Complimenting your existing
dial-up coverage: Most ISPs realize it can be costly using
their own equipment to provide a dial-up POP in new areas. PRI circuits
and network hardware all cost money even when not in use. If you're
obligated to provide uninterrupted power and climate control for additional
equipment, the proposition gets more complex. You can
eliminate these risks by outsourcing the POP to Vnet. You only get charged
for the amount the users consume and since we don't charge you per POP location,
it's the same price to add coverage in the 48 states as it is to cover your
local region! This means you can target a specific area for coverage while
testing the market for new users anywhere in our coverage area. Even with
coverage of the entire US, you can restrict the areas you serve for any reason.
Maybe you want to serve customers only in your time zone, or maybe your ISP's
theme is to only serve customers in your home state. Remember, even if you
sign up only one new customer using one of our POPs, you earn money.
There's no concern with return on investment since, in effect, you haven't
"invested" in that POP. Vnet can provide you with several
networks to chose from. Most ISPs will choose networks that have the best
coverage in their target areas. It becomes easier to retain customers that you'd ordinarily
loose when they moved away from your coverage area. Outsourcing dial-up is easy to implement from an engineering
perspective. Our networks are compatible with your existing Radius
server and requires minimal setup on your end. You retain all the
control over your users and are free to add and delete users at will.
We're also able to work with user lists stored on MS-SQL and MySQL servers.
DHCP and DNS services are automatically provided to you dial-up customers.
Liquidate all your dial-up
equipment.
An increasing number of ISPs find outsourcing the best way to
handle their dial-up business. With fixed costs and fewer
responsibilities it's easier to manage your dial-up business. It goes
without saying your coverage area will increase dramatically. When you
consider all the costs of operating your own dial-up network, sometimes even
your best-earning POPs, can be dragged down by the costs of your poor-earning
POPs. Here's a list of considerations when maintaining your own dial-up
POP:
-
PRI circuits
-
Internet bandwidth (T1)
-
access concentrators and individual modem cards
-
routers
-
hardware maintenance contracts
-
uninterruptible power supplies
-
DNS caching servers
-
climate control
-
